Hello Everyone!
As many of you know, I will be studying abroad and working as an intern at Levi Strauss & Co. this summer in Brussels. Because this is my first time to blog, I thought I'd answer a few questions many of you may be wondering.
Why Study Abroad?
After traveling to Europe the summer after my senior year of high school, I became obsessed with the idea of traveling and learning about new cultures; and by traveling, I do not mean visiting the usual tourist spots, but more like really understanding a culture and how they live.
Ever since my trip to Europe, I have always wanted to go back and am blessed enough to have the resources through Mizzou's Journalism school to study, work, and really emerge myself into the Belgian culture.
Why Brussels?
I chose Brussels because it is one of the few international Journalism programs where you can study abroad and work as an intern. Brussels is also in the center of Europe (home of the European Union), making it easy to travel to many destinations by train and is also more cost conscious then many European cities.
I am very excited for this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to share my experiences with friends, family, and professionals.
